It's Low Vision Awareness Month!

It's Low Vision Awareness Month!
February is our month to share what life with visual impairment really looks like – beyond the stereotypes and assumptions.

It's not about needing stronger glasses. It's not total blindness. It's the daily navigation of a world designed for full sight: the pile of unread post, the careful kitchen routines, the anxiety of reading a bus number in time, the moment someone thinks you're being rude when you simply can't see their face.

But it's also about resilience, adaptation, and yes – humour. It's Margaret making her grandson a cup of tea with her liquid level indicator. It's the small victories that mean everything.

This month, we're challenging assumptions and sharing our reality. Because when people understand what visual impairment actually means in daily life, they can help create a more inclusive world.
