2026 is the National Year of Reading
At The Partially Sighted Society, championing access to reading isn't a campaign for us. It's what we do every day. We believe sight loss should never stand between a person and the things they love, and reading is no exception.

Through accessible formats, adaptive technology, and practical hands-on support, we help people continue doing what matters to them - often in ways they never thought possible.

Because reading has never really been about words on a page. It's about independence. Imagination. Staying connected to the world and the people in it.

If you're local, visit our charity shop - where you'll find a wide selection of books for just 50p each. Affordable, accessible, and every purchase directly supports our work.

Here's to a year of stories, learning, and real inclusion. For everyone.
